AUTUMN SCHAEFER

Autumn Schaefer is an emerging artist working and living in the Chicagoland area. She won the Senior Scholarship Competition in 2017, and has earned many President’s List achievements before graduating from the American Academy of Art in 2021 with a BFA in Oil Painting. Her work ranges from simple still life paintings and portraits to more complex, involved paintings. These more involved paintings focus on darker themes and follow a traditional painting technique. She works in many mediums, but is most known for her work in oil paint. Between 2018 and 2021, Autumn’s work has been in group exhibitions at the Bill L. Parks Gallery. Along with that, Autumn's work has also been displayed at the Thomas J. Weisner Gallery in her own solo exhibitions.

Alongside the occasional commission, she also works part time as an Artist/Instructor at a paint and sip studio. In the future, Autumn will continue to develop her skills and aims to have her work displayed in multiple galleries and exhibitions. She also plans to continue with commission work as well.
